Por uma Pedagogia da diferença: Paulo Freire e Howard Gardner em diálogo

The present work has the objective of dialogically analyzing part of the work of two relevant authors in the field of Education. The theme of the research is found in the main concepts of Paulo Freire pedagogical proposal and Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences. In this sense, we intend to analyze the original texts of these authors, with the intention of making a synthesis that will result in a new pedagogical proposal. The starting point for this analysis are the concepts of autonomy, both for the student and the teacher, and the right to difference. This right is understood here in a broader way than the concept of diversity, understanding that it is the pedagogical processes that need to be adapted to the learner, and not the opposite. Thus, the Theory of Multiple Intelligences is the driving force behind this vision, while Paulo Freire's pedagogical proposals complement each other by proposing the autonomy of the learner and the educator in the teaching-learning process. From this perspective, the right to difference must be present in the school environment, since for Education to be a true practice of freedom, the players involved in this process need to recognize each other and their subjectivities.
